Non-Standard Overweight Stacker Crane Container Warehouse

Non-Standard Overweight Stacker Crane Container Warehouse

Nov 30, -0001

Construction commenced last year in Russia on a non-standard Stacker Crane Automated Warehouse project developed by Hydglobalasrs. This tailored, heavy-duty stacker crane warehouse is engineered specifically to accommodate the client's requirements for oversized cargo storage spaces. To support the storage of large containers, we designed and manufactured custom racking systems featuring a 7-meter-long shelf and a 5-ton load capacity.

Project Challenges

Irregular Cargo Compatibility: Handling non-standard cargo—including large containers and irregularly shaped metal components—places rigorous demands on stacker forks. It requires engineering forks with exceptional load capacity and superior structural stability while maintaining precise handling capabilities.

‌Extended Commissioning Timeline: Non-standard automated storage projects typically require an average commissioning cycle of 3 to 6 months, during which emerging operational and process details must be systematically resolved.

‌Increased Investment Costs: Custom-engineered storage equipment generally costs 50% to 80% more than standard models. The integration of specialized materials, bespoke manufacturing processes, and complex shipping logistics contributes significantly to overall project expenses.

Customized Warehouse Solutions

To support the handling of ultra-heavy materials across demanding sectors such as metallurgy and aerospace, Hydglobalasrs has engineered innovative, modular custom stacker crane systems. These systems exceed the load capacities of conventional standard cranes by integrating high-strength materials, a highly stable structural design, and advanced automation technology to facilitate the reliable storage of non-standard cargo.

From initial planning through to the final phases, Hydglobalasrs maintained close communication with the client, continually optimizing the project blueprint to align with their operational requirements. Additionally, several specialized technical engineers were deployed directly to the project site to oversee and guide the installation and commissioning of the automated storage equipment. The facility is currently in its final construction phase and is progressing steadily toward full implementation.
